From July 4th to 13th, the charming coastal town of Puerto Pollensa comes alive with one of its most beloved celebrations: the Festes del Carme. Located in the north of Mallorca, this picturesque village, known for its relaxed Mediterranean vibe, seafront promenade, and crystal-clear waters, turns into a vibrant hub of tradition, music, and family fun.

The Festes del Carme are more than just a religious tribute to Virgin of Carmel, the patron saint of fishermen — they are a true celebration of the town’s culture and community. This year’s program (Click here to see the program) includes art and craft exhibitions, jazz concerts, folk dance performances, children’s activities, sports events like the La Marinera race, and lively beach parties with DJs and live music.
A highlight of the festivities is the maritime procession on Sunday, July 13th, where boats decorated with flowers accompany the statue of Our Virgin across the bay. The evening ends with a spectacular fireworks display on La Gola beach. There’s also a night market along the Anglada Camarasa promenade, and daily events for families, including workshops, water games, and cinema under the stars.
Puerto Pollensa is already a wonderful place to visit year-round, but during the Festes del Carme, it becomes a magical blend of tradition and summer joy. Surrounded by the Tramuntana mountains and close to iconic spots like Formentor, it offers a perfect mix of nature, history, and authentic local charm.
