August is just around the corner! A very special month for the people from Pollensa bearing in mind that the town celebrates one of the most important and awaited festivities, La Patrona from the 26th July to the 2nd of August.
A week full of different cultural and social events which will let you learn about the roots of our culture and traditions: traditional musical and dance performances, exhibitions and processions, among others.
But the most important event takes place the 2nd of August commemorating the confrontation between the Moors and Christians which took place the 31st of May, 1550 in the town of Pollensa.
At 5.00h the Pollensa music band plays the traditional “Alborada” in the main square.
At 11.00h the Cossiers dance takes place around the cobbled streets of the historical center of the town.
At 19:00h the most awaited event: the Moors and Christians Mock Battle.
