Last week, we suggested you visit Aucanada or Alcanada as both referred.<\/p>\n

Over on the same area, which is only approx 10 mins drive from Pollensa and\/or Puerto Pollensa there are the delightful towns of Alcudia and its sister resort Puerto Alcudia which you may wish to visit both of which are only approx 10 mins from Aucanada.<\/p>\n

Firstly, we talk about:-<\/p>\n

ALCUDIA OLD TOWN<\/strong><\/p>\n

The medieval town of Alcudia, which was called Pollentia originally, truly is well worth a visit and strangely it is \u201creferred\u201d to as a city<\/strong> founded around 123BC.\u00a0 It\u00a0offers a charming ambience, behind its old city walls and once you get into the heart of Old Town Alcudia you then experience quaint narrow streets, various small squares offering abundance of side walk cafes, restaurants, boutiques.\u00a0 One can actually walk the walls that surround Alcudia town about 200m from the walls of the city you can explore roman ruins, which include roman theatre.\u00a0 There is also a church and bell tower to visit, and close to the church is the Alcudia monographic museum.\u00a0 On the restaurant scene, based on clients recommendations\u00a0they have enjoyed\u00a0Restaurant\u00a0Can Costa nestled within the narrow streets, which offers traditional Mallorcan cuisine with a court-yard setting, and is run by a local family, which you may wish to try out.<\/p>\n

PUERTO ALCUDIA<\/strong><\/p>\n

The port of Alcudia enjoys an reputation of excellence as being a delightful resort, and becoming more appreciated day\u00a0by day due to the facilities it offers. \u00a0The beach of Alcudia stretches over 10klm is appreciated as being one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca with white sands\u00a0with its magnificent \u00a0turquoise waters similar to the Caribe.\u00a0 There is a wide pedestrian prom where the the pretty harbour nestles nearby and yacht marina further along. As one sits enjoying a coffee \u00a0you overlook the bobbing fishermen boats, and across the Bay. \u00a0 There are abundance of restaurants to choose from along the main line\u00a0 referred to as Paseo Maritimo, in around the Marine, Port and interior streets, along with side walk cafes and boutiques.<\/p>\n

Between the two resorts you can first enjoy some exploring amongst the roman ruins,\u00a0 few mins drive\u00a0takes you down to Port of Alcudia where you can enjoy its magnificent beaches and is a totally different feel to its sister “city”<\/strong> the medieval town of Alcudia.<\/p>\n
