{"id":1570,"date":"2014-10-22T06:43:34","date_gmt":"2014-10-22T06:43:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/?p=1570"},"modified":"2014-10-28T09:27:18","modified_gmt":"2014-10-28T09:27:18","slug":"tips-holiday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/tips-holiday\/","title":{"rendered":"Our tips when your here on holiday!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Guests<\/p>\n<p>Whilst your here enjoying one of <strong>The Best Villas<\/strong> super Villas, a few<strong> tips <\/strong>how to get around and local \u00a0facilities and information available to yourselves <strong>during your stay <\/strong>which may prove helpful to you&#8230;.,<\/p>\n<p>No doubt your driving one of our\u00a0excellent\u00a0 supplied from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vivescars.com\">www.vivescars.com<\/a>\u00a0fleet of cars.\u00a0 If so,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Drive on right hand side of road<\/li>\n<li>Driving laws are strict here in Mallorca as other places, spot checks take place regularly during the <strong>day as well a evenings<\/strong>, so beware and take care! <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1577\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/ibiza.png\" alt=\"ibiza\" width=\"164\" height=\"99\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Always ensure you carry your Driving Licence in the car, and Car Hire contract and documents arranged by <strong>vivescars, <\/strong>as you will be asked to produce if you are stopped by the police.<\/li>\n<li>Take caution at roundabouts, there are rules&#8230;&#8230;&#8230; no one seems to follow the rules!!!! take it slow&#8230;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>PARKING<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Parking restrictions normally are clearly marked.<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-1571\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/vado-permanente1.jpg\" alt=\"vado-permanente1\" width=\"103\" height=\"103\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/vado-permanente1.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/vado-permanente1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/vado-permanente1-40x40.jpg 40w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 103px) 100vw, 103px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>Always <strong>avoid<\/strong> Zig Zags and yellow kerb marker signs, also <strong>notices on \u00a0garage doors <\/strong>displaying &#8220;Vado&#8221; signs, <strong>if in doubt,<\/strong> and\u00a0you see a sign\u00a0on a garage door, &#8220;<strong>do not \u00a0park&#8221;!\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>If you park <strong>in these areas<\/strong> your car is normally towed away and need to <strong>pay a fine<\/strong> to the police, \u00a0in order, \u00a0to retrieve your car.<\/li>\n<li>Puerto Pollensa has a &#8220;blue Zone&#8221; parking restriction, in order to park in these areas you need to obtain a ticket from the meter and display in the car window.\u00a0 These areas operational Monday to Saturday 9.30 to 13.30 hrs and 16.30 to 20.00hrs. Sundays and Bank Holidays are FREE.\u00a0 Cost is reasonable, instructions and prices are displayed on the meters in English to assist you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>POST<\/strong><br \/>\nPost Offices are open Monday to Saturday 9.00 to 14.00hrs.\u00a0 Stamps to the UK can be bought at the tobacconist shops as well as post offices which may be convenient for you as well as authorised Post Offices.\u00a0 Post Boxes easily distinguished are YELLOW.<\/p>\n<p>Pollensa post office:<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1587\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/oficinas_01.jpg\" alt=\"oficinas_01\" width=\"145\" height=\"98\" \/><br \/>\nJONQUET, 61 &#8211; 07460 POLLEN\u00c7A (ILLES BALEARS)<br \/>\nTelf:971531125 Fax:971531125<\/p>\n<p><strong>POLICE<\/strong><br \/>\nIn the local area here north of the Island <strong>Pollensa, Puerto Pollensa, Cala St. Vincent and Alcudia <\/strong>there are <strong>two types <\/strong>of Police&#8230;,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>GUARDIA CIVIL <\/strong>traffic patrol, they were a green uniform.\u00a0 Normally called to road traffic accidents and occasionally found at major junctions and roundabouts doing spot checks.\u00a0 In the unlikely event you have <strong>items s<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-1579\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/policia-local-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"Polic\u00eda Local en un mercado municipal\" width=\"190\" height=\"142\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/policia-local-300x224.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.thebestvillaspollensa.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/policia-local.jpg 642w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 190px) 100vw, 190px\" \/>tolen <\/strong>they need to be reported to &#8220;The Guardia Civil&#8221;
