As every year, during the month of August, Pollensa celebrates its famous and widely known Classical Music Festival in one of the most beautiful settings, the historical Cloister of Santo Domingo in the center of the town.
Since 1962, when the famous English violinist Phillip Newman had the initiative to organize this festival, a wide number of first-rate artists have performed their music in the magnificent Cloister of Santo Domingo, a location with a great architectural beauty, a lot of history and excellent acoustic.
This year, the Pollensa Music Festival celebrates its 63º edition with an admirable programme. Prestigious artists such as the pianist Yuja Wang or the Luxemburg Philharmonic Orquestra will perform their music this year in August in the 63º Pollensa Music Festival.
